We are now accepting applications for our Smart Start Program
If you’re a young woman between 15 and 30, not employed or in school and not receiving Employment Insurance (EI), Smart Start might be the perfect program for you!
Smart Start is a 22‐week youth employment program that provides employment readiness workshops (for 3 weeks beginning July 24th, 2017) and work experience (full time – 35 hours per week – for 19 weeks beginning August 14th, 2017) to assist young women overcome barriers to employment. Eligible applicants selected for participation will receive a fair living allowance while they work towards life‐changing employment and educational goals.

Girls Inc. has been delivering youth employment programs for young women since 2005. The Smart Start program includes critical employment readiness training, future‐focused life skills programming, and work experience. The goal for each participant is to be employed by the end of the program. Our participants work hard to achieve this goal and we’re proud to report an average program success rate of 96%.
